Les Fermes Michel Bastien Inc. was founded in 1999 by Michel Bastien and Martine Fugère. Initially, the main activity was the raising of pigs on a small 6 acres of land.

Michel Bastien is the son of François Bastien and great grand son of Adrien Bastien both founders of the Gazonnière Bastien & Fils inc. a well-known company in the field of culture sod. Michel has worked in his youth drainage and preparing land for planting.

Due to a shortage of qualified labor in landscaping and grass layout, Les Fermes Michel Bastien Inc. purchased their first small machine to unroll sod giants rolls. Of course, this new part-time job soon became the main source of income of the firm, now known as FMB Golf Construction Inc.

Today FMB Golf Construction Inc. installs annually between 400 000 and 600 000 m² of sod and prepare the ground for sowing for nearly the double of those areas. In addition, FMB Golf Construction Inc. offers full service in the construction of golf.

FMB Golf Construction Inc. has one of the most beautiful fleet of machinery on flotation tires specially designed to move equipment and renovate the golf course without damaging undergrood pipes and ground.

For several years FMB Golf Construction Inc. can count on a team that is qualified and competent.

Year after year FMB Golf Construction Inc. expanded its range and in 2008 the first contract in Ontario was obtained. In addition, several golf course architects are using the services of FMB Golf Construction Inc. to implement their projects.

Although 70% of clients are golf courses, FMB Golf Construction Inc. offers a variety of services for the finishing touch, the application of a starter, laying turf, with or without maintenance of the latter for two weeks whether in parks, sports grounds or commercial buildings.
